We went out to Promotory for the 145th celebration of the Golden Spike. Mike and Kathy brought Collette's boys and they joined us. It was a bit cold and crowded, but always fun to see the trains. The kids had a great time. We then went over to the ATK display for a picnic lunch.

Scorpions!!
As the end of 2nd grade draws near, Jace has had several projects. One of which was an oral report for the parents on an animal. He chose scorpions. Together we did some research and wrote a report. I cut out some words for his visual board and he put it together. He did a great job.
Another project was the "Invention Convention" where he invented the "Magic Oven". He designed it and came up with the concept and how it would work by himself. He got to display it at the school and explain to interested onlookers how it would work. It is an oven with an attached computer that, when the information was entered on what you wanted to cook, would prepare and cook everything itself. Can't wait for this one to become reality.

Bothwell Easter Egg Hunt: 2014
It is becoming a family tradition that we attend the Annual Bothwell Easter Egg Hunt. It seems to be growing, but that doesn't prevent us from having fun. The kids love finding the eggs and the loot hiding inside. It is always a fun event.

Train Show: 2014
On a cold, rainy spring day, Blaine took Jace and Jenna down to Ogden for the Train Show. Sounds like everyone had fun.
Ward Ski Night
This year we all went up to Beaver Mountain for Ward Ski Night. Blaine and Jace went up early with Dave and Kyle Detwiler to do some sledding and snowmobiling and I met them up there later with the rest of the kids. We had a fun night with great weather. Both Jace and Jenna skied this year and had a great time.

Sister Daliss Pickup
Daliss Pickup was called to the California, Roseville Mission and we were able to attend her farewell. I was asked to make a cake for the special occasion. We are so proud of her and know she will be a terrific missionary.
Fun with Food
Some notable meals we've been having for Valentines Day, St. Patricks Day, and Easter.
| Heart Pizza and Love Potion Drink |
| Green Pancakes and Leprechaun Milk |
For Easter, we made resurrection rolls for Family Home Evening. They were a hit and yummy too.
Over Conference weekend, we lived off our 72 hour kits. It was good to review what we had, what we didn't like, and what we would like to change. But we survived.
Viva Las Vegas!
Blaine had a convention down in Las Vegas and the family was able to tag along. We took our time going down, staying the night in St. George and seeing the historical and church history sites, including the Jacob Hamblin home. We stayed in Las Vegas for 3 days and had a great time swimming, walking down the strip, and lounging around in our condo. Luckily it wasn't too warm yet. The kids have been asking to go back ever since.
