We enjoyed the somewhat cooler air last night and Blaine and the kids played in the yard and rode their bikes. It was fun to watch and document these fun times.

Farewell to Elder Pickup (#5)
We attended the farewell of my brother Chad who will be serving a mission in Mexico City. He was really excited to go and will make a great missionary. We are so proud of him and he has been a great brother and example. He and my parents also stopped by last week on their way down to the MTC and we got to say our good-byes. He will be missed.
Jenna's 2nd Birthday
Jenna turned two on July 14th and we celebrated with a Cinderella theme. Thanks to my friend Starla for helping me with her cake. Jenna loved being a princess for the day and is now finally two. We started the day off with what was supposed to be purple pancakes, since that seems to be her favorite color, but I forgot the color wheel basics and ended up with somewhat greenish pancakes. Yea, not a hit but maybe next year I'll get it right.
Pioneer Day 2010
We spent the 24th of July in Mountain View with Blaine's family. Blaine, Collette and Mike participated in a team triathlon. Blaine did the biking and was a running companion with Collette while Mike did the swimming. They did really well and had a lot of fun. So much that there are plans to do it again next year. The kids and I enjoyed watching and cheering them on. After the triathlon we watched the parade and enjoyed the cooler weather of Wyoming. It was a really fun weekend.

July 4th 2010
We had a fun 4th of July with friends and family. On Saturday we hosted a BBQ in our backyard and had a fun time with lots of good food. Thanks to everyone who came. Sunday was filled with church and then dinner with Blaine's sister Andrea and her husband Jerame. They came up for a visit and entertained us with some fireworks. It was fun to visit with them.
Jace's Swimming Lessons
Jace took his first swimming lessons this summer. He did a great job and is looking forward to next year. Jenna and I struggled a little- it was hard to sit there for 2 weeks straight!
Cousin's Camp 2010
We finally live close enough that our kids were able to participate in their first Cousin's Camp. Blaine's parents take all the grandkids, who are old enough, for 3 days of fun and activities. Both Jace and Jenna loved it and can't wait until next year.
Grandpa Pickup's Funeral
My Grandpa passed away on June 9, 2010 and we had the opportunity to attend his funeral. We were lucky enough to live close by and see him often these last couple of years. He was a veteran and POW of World War II and had a 21 gun salute at his burial. It was very emotional. We lived close to him for much of our childhood and when we moved to Burley, he followed soon after. He will be greatly missed.
Pickup Reunion 2010
Our Amtrak trip to Denver was temporarily postponed so instead of canning the whole thing we did a mini reunion down in Salt Lake. We started with a trip to the Hogle Zoo and then dinner in Draper and a lot of swimming at the hotel. Saturday was jammed packed with fun including the Aquariuam and Chuck E. Cheese. We had a ton of fun at a park where we all played some baseball ( I was the photographer). Our BBQ there was rained out so we all headed for home a little early. It was a ton of fun and something we will definitely do again. Thanks for the fun time fam!!!
