Weekend Project

We have been working on a project for the last couple of weekends. It is nice to have a husband that can make your design functional. We put the bookcases in our furnace/ water heater closet and gave them a hinge so that we can still access those things. I love the look and they turned out better than I expected. Love my handyman!!

More Snow Fun

Finally a sizeable snowstorm(s) to give us some good play time. The kids wasted no time and Leia even joined in on the fun, even if she didn't last very long. I think it took me more time to dress her than she was outside, but I think she still had fun. I got her all dressed and ran to the basement to get my boots and when I got back I found her on her back unable to get up. Funny girl.

Our Little Bookworm

Leia loves books and loves to be read to. This is what we see throughout much of each day. She is very good to sit through a book although she can be quite particular about what books she likes.

Child Labor???

We don't believe in child labor around here---- just character building.

Jace's Haircut

I should specify that this haircut was not by me nor a professional, but by Jace himself---- while at school!! Little stinker and his teacher didn't even know. It is pretty funny to look back on it now, but I hope the kid has learned his lesson.

yea, you better be sad

Luckily he doesn't have much hair to begin with so it wasn't terribly noticeable.

New Year Pictures

I try to get a picture of the kids at the beginning of each year when they go to there new church classes.

Christmas Day 2011

We had a great Christmas morning and it started off with us getting the kids up around 6 am. We enjoyed the morning opening and playing with our new toys. We then headed off to church and enjoyed Sacrament Meeting before making the drive to Mountain View for Christmas dinner and family time. It was a short, fun trip. Another Christmas down in the books.

Christmas Eve 2011

We had a nice, low-key Christmas Eve this year. We enjoyed the day by making gingerbread houses, watching "The Polar Express", taking naps, drawing, and just having fun. The night came to a close with the kids opening up their ornaments. Never fails, there is always some disappointment that it isn't anything more fun-- and rightly so, I guess.
