Christmas Eve

We had a quiet Christmas Eve that seemed to be packed with lots of things to do. We did the 12 Days of Christmas to an elderly couple in our neighborhood and they surprised us with a gift on the last night. It was nice to be appreciated. We had to make and set out Santa's cookies and milk and spread the reindeer food outside. Next came our one Christmas Eve gift-- new pajamas. By the time we got everything done, the kids were ready for bed and fell asleep almost immediately. They wanted morning to come quickly. Afterward we realized we forgot to even read the Christmas story out of the scriptures. Oops. Next year.
