We had a nice, quiet Christmas although we were hit by a bit of the plague the week before. The girls and I had been sick with a horrible stomach bug that left us indisposed for a few days. Luckily the boys escaped the sickness and were good to take care of us. I had gotten over my pregnancy sickness a couple of weeks before so we were looking forward to enjoying the goodies that Christmas has to offer. Unfortunately I enjoyed those goodies a little too much and Blaine gave blood that morning so we were both feeling under the weather. We did have our first nice snowstorm that day though so it was nice to enjoy a white Christmas. Christmas Eve was filled with all the traditions and excitement that is to be expected with kids and they eventually retired to their beds after setting out cookies for Santa and food for the reindeer. Christmas morning found us up bright and early discovering our new toys and goodies. Santa was generous and we enjoyed the morning lounging around and playing. Eventually we gathered ourselves together and headed to Burley for dinner. We had a great time playing with cousins and enjoying some yummy food. Blaine had to work the following day so we grudgingly packed up after too short of a visit and headed home. The remainder of the day was spent with the kids playing with their toys and me recovering on the couch. What a fun yet exhausting time of year.
